This was my cat or I was hers. Whichever way you choose to look at it. Mischief, cuteness, stand-offish to strangers. Vulnerable & little. When I bathed her she was so tiny, that I couldn't help but laugh. She was none too amused, one because she was being bathed & surely because I laughed at her. I miss her. She didn't live as long as I would've hoped, but I didn't get to choose...
This is a dog that I saw when I was out & about in our community on Galiano Island, where I live. I have no idea who’s dog it was, but I took a photo, because I thought it’s eyes were so soulful that maybe one day I would try to render it. Now that time has come & I have.

If I only could get close enough to wild animals to have reference photos for these close-up images that I really like recreating. It doesn't happen often and for that reason, I used the Open Commons image share from Kapa65 on Pixabay.
A not so timid buck had his image captured by me in the summer of 2019 doing what comes naturally, eating. So I did what came naturally to me and took his photo; then I painted from the said photo and voila, this is the result. I hope you like it.
