When I saw the way this Daffodil was backlit, I knew I wanted to try to recreate it on canvas. I hope you like the result?
Wild roses smell so sweet. I love going out for walks and being greeted by the fragrance of these flowers. This one was grown seaside with the harsh elements of the salty air & sweltering sun. Yet it still produced flowers for anyone who came by to see and smell.
Marsh Marigolds in a dry pond, being hit by the sun and lit up with such a dark and contrasting background. I couldn't help but take the image back with me to the studio to try to recreate.
Wild Flower, specifically a Chocolate Lily. Have you ever seen one in person? This was a real find. I look for them every spring. But this one is captured on my canvas…it will never die. So said Frida Kahlo. “I paint flowers, so they will not die”. I concur.
